One of the most beautiful restaurants, which is best reached by boat, is the La Scogliera restaurant. You can have lunch there right by the sea among the rocks. The restaurant is known for its fish and seafood, but also offers many delicious pasta dishes and other alternatives for “non-fish eaters”. The restaurant is also a beach club. A DJ plays cool sounds from midday onwards and creates a great atmosphere (not boisterous – but stylish).
Currently closed for renovation – all guests can look forward to a visit in summer 2025! Special Place, Special Location – it’s worth the wait!

With its beautiful terrace, the Pavyllon restaurant offers a spectacular view over the port of Monaco all the way up to the castle of the princely family.

Restaurant Zum Gupf – the down-to-earth gourmet oasis in Appenzellerland, a culinary delight in winter & summer!
One of my absolute favorite restaurants. Manuela and Walter Klose and their team are very warm hosts and the food is a treat from the greeting from the kitchen to the dessert! Everything is just right here. The location in Rehetobel consists of an original Appenzell house and is enthroned with beautiful views over Lake Constance and the Alpstein mountains.
Since the Gupf also attracts guests from other Swiss cantons in large numbers, there is even a helipad, which is not infrequently used. The most spectacular highlight of the Gupf is the large wine cellar – already equivalent to a treasure chamber. By the way, in this wine cellar there is also the biggest red wine bottle in the world!
So that after the good meal, accompanied by a few glasses of wine, no longer have to drive home, the Gupf also has some hotel rooms, which are quaint and cozy and offer a restful sleep. Waking up in the morning in wonderful fresh mountain air, you can enjoy a fine breakfast with homemade jam.
Tip: Book early a few months in advance, as the Gupf is booked up weeks in advance, especially on weekends.

This small fine dining restaurant offers excellent food in a beautiful 100 year old natural stone building. Especially romantic is sitting in the small patio in the courtyard. The menu is small but very fine – so you can choose between fine rather traditional tapas variants or light Mediterranean cuisine. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is very busy.
Tip: Panna Cotta with strawberries.

The Marina Lounge restaurant is located in the Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona. There you can enjoy the sunset directly on the shore of Lake Maggiore for an aperitif. A spacious terrace overlooking the lake puts me in a vacation mood every time I visit.
Tip: The Chicken Satay with a curry peanut sauce!

As of now, one of my favorite restaurant/ café visits in the world – in my eyes, everything is just right here – the friendly welcome, the stylish courtyard garden, the elegant table decorations, the great cuisine and a classy shopping experience. “Avec plaisir, ma dame” is not just a phrase here.
The jasmine-lined courtyard garden is right next to the Christian Dior boutique. The boutique is located in an old villa, the interior / garden were recreated from the original interior of Christian Dior.
It’s a pleasure to have the individual courses served on Christian Dior’s elegant dinnerware.
Personal tip: the strawberry tart for two – J’ADORE!
